The trio of girls who make up PINE*am play music which is part New Wave-ish electro-pop, part washed-out synth psychedelicia, and part Nintendo playing musical fantasma. Once located on Usagi-chan Records, the group made it over to the U.S. for a concert in Austin for the SXSW festival in 2004. Their popularity in Europe as well, led them to a tour of Germany in 2001. Their sound is somewhat similar to the Aprils and other label-mates on Usagi-chan. With the band's successful show at SXSW in spring of 2005 and had some dates in the U.S. as well they seem to be making headway in the US. The band members are scattered, with one in Tokyo, one in Osaka, and the third in Vancouver, but it doesn't seem to have not slowed them down. The label Eeniemeenie seems to be handling them now.
