Softly!
Softly! is a wonderful, wonderful label, who I am almost tempted to say specializes in fantastic guitar pop and Shibuya-kei bands, but there's the presence of Pomeranians there to mess that up, who aren't either of those things, but more a cross between pop and reggae(from the few songs I have heard of theirs, anyhow. But they are responsible for a lovely cover version of the Flipper's Guitar song "Summer Beauty 1990", so I've got to like them a little bit for that, if nothing else.). Anyhow, bands on the Softly! label include the extremely good guitar pop/indie pop act Orangenoise Shortcut, the Aprils (who recently signed on there and whose last two albums were released by Softly!), as did the unstoppable Hazel Nuts Chocolate, who will be releasing their second album quite soon on that label. Not to mention that Softly! will be responsible for the distribution of Utrecht's first album, which I have been talking about so much lately. I even mentioned it at my journal recently. Utrecht includes members of Plus-tech Squeeze Box and copter4016882, and anything combining those two bands is bound to be good. I just know it. Plus, they play new wave music. What's not to love? Absolutely a band to keep an eye out for.
