I doubt that a band comprised of native-English speakers would venture to name their band Yogurt-pooh. It's just not the kind of image a rock band would want to conjure up- the white, gooey, creaminess of yogurt with the very visceral "pooh" sound. The Las Vegas odds for these two words being put together and used as a band name had to be extremely poor. But here they are, Yogurt-pooh!
Yogurt-pooh are the juniors to Kururi. They also attended Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto, and were seized up by Sony Music when the majors came to town and began scouring the scene for bands to fill the Kyoto craze.
Yogurt-pooh is also junior to Kururi in terms of sound. Their more "rock" approach is less about subtlety and more about distortion and the complex interplay of their rhythm section, thus unlike Kururi they have one less card up their sleeves. They can write great rock songs, but leave the bitter-sweet songs to another band. Great to listen to in the afternoon. Listen to something else on Sundays or late at night...
